Cathy Englebert Retires

…and the WNBA fans go wild! Here to sound off a bit on the seven year reign of Cathy coming to a close is our very own @wnbaastro, Kayla, to discuss the news from a fan perspective & an astrological perspective as well.

Well friends, Christmas came early this year. After seven long grueling years, a Saturn cycle to the initiated, Cathy Englebert has finally decided to step down from her position as the league’s commissioner.

Players are happy.

Fans are happy.

It is truly a great day to be a part of the WNBA.

The WNBA has been the punchline of jokes, subjected to unnecessary and constant hate, and under attack since its birth in 1996 with the Cancer Moon squaring the Aries Mars. A league created for women to play basketball professionally has been getting under people’s skin, men and sadly other women, for the last thirty years. Sexist, homophobic, racists If only there were someone in a position to speak out on behalf of the league and denounce this most recent racist vitriol…

If only the league had someone who respected them and valued them women and athletes instead of saying they should be “grateful”  for the platform that the WNBA provides. These women are just property to her and they're all college educated so they know this!

The stars fully support this change in league leadership. The transit Neptune is in harmony with the league’s Uranus. Out with the old! The transit Pluto is also in harmony with the league’s Pluto. The time for change is now. I do believe and I have faith that it can get better once she leaves. It might take some time to repair all the damage that she caused and rebuild relationships but the league will be better for it.

And of course some Sabian Symbols mixed with sports astrology to leave you all with!

Cheers and happy retirement to Cathy Englebert!
